Apparently their first three albums are being remastered and are due for release this year, or possibly the next.


Joe Dolce: Twat.

Haircut 100, their second album is very decent but without the marketing device it was doomed to failure. The first album was very boring with the tracks blanding into one another.

As for Madness, apart from 'Embarrassment' it's just annoying drivel.

Siouxsie & the Banshees, going from 'look at me I'm being so daring and naughty for wearing a Swastika' to 'don't look at me I'm a tired old hasbeen who's starting to resemble Cherie Blair and for god's sake don't mention the back catalogue'. As for the music, it's all very well being dreary, but try and mix it up sometimes.

Dexy's: Yep, they were shit, although you should hear the album the singer did for Creation it's very, er, unique.

Scarlet Fantastic: When Pete Waterman at the height of Kylie and Jason fame wouldn't touch your second album then you know it's shit.

Dead or Alive: When your producer starts ripping off his own work he did previously for Divine for your big hit then you're destined down below as no-one's going to listen to 'your' work willingly.

Jimmy Summerville. His voice will be on the sound system in major rotation. Having helped ruin The Commuunards and Bronski Beat, It's very telling that Bronski Beat went on to have their biggest hit when he left.


It appears to be more catharsis than anything else but at least there's a few more names added.

There are many worse songs but these grate on my nerves for some reason.

I guess no-one have listened to some records from the likes of Five Or Six, Throbbing Gristle, Test Department or the record "A tent" from Six Empty Places. And some other bands championed by early Cherry Red label... All of them contemporary of The Residents and really able to make them sound like ABBA to our ears...

BTW, solo works of Richard Jobson (ex-Skids and The Armoury Show) and Steven Brown (ex-Tuxedomoon) would easily qualify for the job, too.

I just got Steven Brown's "Music for Solo Piano" and found it pretty good in a minimal classical sorta way. You can't dance to it unless your spastic (maybe like Elaine on Seinfield) and although Mr. Brown still plays with Tuxedomoon I wouldn't consider him or Tuxedomoon (now) new wave.

Well, let's say "some" of his solo records. There's a almost-spoken-word one, don't remember the title now, that is unlistenable (for me).
