A New Wave Zone discussion of the "former posters" thread brought up an interesting question ... where is Cee? What happened to her? And when? A search of the member list turns up no record of her ever having existed.

Is this a conspiracee?

I think no one here backed her shit up here when Ben threw those "bad" remarks at her, although I think she defended herself hansomely...

So for all the help she gave everyone here with Internet leads and dowloads, etc., etc. she got the shaft. [:0][:(!][V]

She e-mailed me and said she won't be helping anyone any more...[:(]

If you recall, Cee was an extraordinary help to us mods in the Obscure 80s section of the board. She enthusiastically and selflessly volunteered her time to research songs that were posted or requested to be sure that they were not already commercially available. This of course falls within Mike P's vision of a self policing population here in his forum and helped to keep NWO off the RIAA's and other copyright police radar. Her diligence is missed.

For this very reason, resident knucklehead Ben At Work, ever the goof-ball troublemaker, saw fit to troll her in multiple threads. This one example comes straight to mind.

Another one of his typically misguided "causes" except this time it resulted in one of our more valued members feeling that she had no choice but to withdraw entirely. For those of us who've met Cee, we can understand how such a nice girl could get fed up with nonsense like this. I hope to see her again 'round these parts but if not, I wish her well.

She emailed me as well. The "Ben" incident definitely annoyed her. I will probably email her this week. maybe I can encourage her to return. She is definitely missed.



We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Jeez! If I learned one thing from this thread it is that....there are other sections to this board. Scary but true. There are more sections!
Honestly most of you know I hardly ever venture off this section but I really will try to venture to other areas without messing with them.

Cee is doing good. I just heard from her a couple of days ago.

And yes, it was Ben's remarks along with another member here who will remain nameless that caused her to leave. I have begged her to come back.
She made moderating the "obscure" section of this board so much easier for me and the other moderators. That girl could find anything on the internet.

That girl is a total sweetheart and was willing to help total strangers find stuff. I can't imagine why anyone would give her grief.
