Out of curiosity, Spit and Ben ... how 'bout cutting the crap with these ill-intentioned, obviously mod-baiting polls? Doing your pals at the NWZzzzone a favor or something? That freakshow over there will never let bygones be bygones and they will continue to find ways to disrupt this board. If I had to venture a guess, you're probably more upset that the NWZ gang wasn't able to admire your self-congratulatory graffiti before we power-washed it away. I'm sure the NWZ is buzzing with activity, fuming over this great injustice.

Let me just say: leave the mods out of this. Clearly,they will never get the respect they deserve from the likes of you. While we prefer to lock threads and watch them simply sink away, we will exercise the right to delete shite like this, so deal with it. So, if you're going to keep stirring the pot, keep it up and you'll get your wish. It's that simple.[xx(]

Mike , When I asked you a question in that other thread you answered it and that should of been that , but no ,Marv had to add his power happy shit.If you ask me , at that time , Marv was the one stirring the pot. What , did he think you couldn't handle it yourself?
I may be looked at as not being the ideal member around here these days but at the same time I think the same could be said to Marv as a mod.Too bad the mod poll was deleted ,I think it would of spoke for itself.

Spit, moderators are not interested in a popularity contest. We try to work together to keep this board running smoothly without the help of members who only try to cause trouble. Did Marv overreact? Maybe, not really for me to decide. But I will say that he's taken his share of crap being probably the most vocal mod and I can't blame him for what he said. I've seen a lot shorter fuses from other members.

I'm not even going to try to guess what Ben's up to but Tom (Spit) has never been one to purposely start trouble on here and while he's a member of the zone, he's hardly ever active there. I doubt he posted that poll for anyone but himself. But regardless of his intentions, a deletion is a ridiculous overreaction. How bad was that thread, really? What harm could it have done? Are any of you that afraid of a little criticism? Is there some reason the higher ups are worried about what the posters' opinions of them may or may not be? This last question is the one that confuses me most. To quote Carl: "Mods aren't interested in a popularity contest" ... but they're interested enough to stop one? I have a hard time believing that even if one mod had "won" the poll with 20 or so votes and all the others had zero votes, it would make one bit of difference to any of the parties involved. And if it did? Then that person should probably not be a mod. The nature of the job is such that it won't and shouldn't win anyone any friends.

I'm not posting this to slam the mods. This is coming from someone who (perhaps surprisingly to some)is friendly with most of the mods and as far as I know, not on bad terms with any one of them. So please don't take this wrong as it's not a criticism of anyone personally, just of the one isolated decision to delete that topic. FUCK CENSORSHIP.

Spit, you almost seem to be carrying a torch for certain NWZ members who have had it out for Marv. This is what bothers me ... as if you have some kind of agenda. What did you expect from a poll like that? Let it go and move on or I'll can just lock your account.

I never had a chance to see exactly what went down with the Moderator poll but it doesn't sound like a constructive post to me --it feels like it had a purpose to satisfy more than just you Spit.

On the other hand, I can agree with Motors that topic deletion should really be a last resort when things get out of hand. Locking is by far and away preferable since the post will just fall by the wayside.

I have been to other sites and let me tell you that we have it good here. we are allowed to talk about anything. On other sites the mods will lock you out for a punishment if you say the slightest thing that they don't like. So this site is pretty sweet.
I also must remind everyone that we are adults and should just go about our lives and not worry about others. We are not 4th graders. This he said she said stuff goes on in my kids class. I will add that I really don't and won't get involved with these fights because I am currently at peace with the universe. BUT...I have to say that you can't always believe everything someone tells you from the internet. No matter how much you want to, its not always true. I know this because I have ....stuff...sent to me from all parties involved. I think we should all just go on with ours lives. (that and don't mess with me or I will post everything[;)]) Just kidding, I have no reason to but just trust me here, there is more than one side to every story.

To be fair, Spit doesn't seem to have been a problem in the past. Let's just call this a lapse of judgment.

The mods do a good job here and the site is fun and pretty open to opinion. Let's keep it that way.
