Doesn't it?! I've used that eraser on just about everything today. I don't know what it's made of, but it is amazing. I used it this morning to wipe some scuffs off my youngest daughter's ballet flats, and it worked so well that I took it to the oven. And then the refrigerator. And the light fixtures. And the booger wall. (Ewwwww!) I didn't mean to spend the morning cleaning, but I couldn't stop. I wanted to see what all that eraser would clean. I'm about to start in on the upstairs rooms. I need help....

I can't even imagine the chemicals that are in them. I think there's formaldeyhyde in there though[:(]. That's ok though it's a preservative. But wow , they get rid of everything. Although I did rub it on Mr. 82 and it didn't work [;)]. I wish they'd have had them 12 or 13 years ago when I could have used them on crayon or markers.

No formaldehyde or any other harmful chemicals. I suspect it's simply baking soda fused into a sponge.

A friend emailed me a warning a few months ago about someone used one on her kid's face & got a rash. It was suggested that the kid had chemical burns...no - they just scrubbed their face with an abrasive. I wouldn't suggest using them on your kids faces, unless they're really ugly kids.

Thanks for clearing that up Wolverine. Now birdmadgirl and I can use it to clean up the kids. We just won't use it on their faces. [;)]

Good gosh. I can't imagine taking one of those to one of my kids. I mean, if it removes dried-up food off the wall (because, apparently, at my house, it's soooooo hard to make sure and hit the trashcan when someone clears their plate), then why would you use it on skin?!

Freckles. It might work better than the sandpaper the Beav tried in that great Leave It To Beaver episode.
