The 'classic' Fixx line-up is back together

Postby tenohtwo » Mon Mar 03, 2008 12:19 am

Reported yesterday on thefixx.com, bassist Gary Tibbs has left the band, and his replacement is none other than Dan K. Brown, who played with the band from 83-91 (Reach The Beach thru Ink). It's not the original line-up, per se (Charlie Barrett and Alfie Agius preceded him), but it's the best-known. It remains to be seen if he'll tour with them this summer.

Fixx and Flock of Seagulls were the second concert I ever went to --- "Shuttered Room" is a great song/ pretty good album....I saw them in 1983 with this line up and they were great

I am very, very, very, very, VERY pleased by this news! Dan K. Brown is by far the best bass player in the history of The Fixx.
