Not having any sisters close to my age, I missed out on "Growing Up Skipper". You pushed a button on her arm and her boobs got bigger. How cool is that?

Nice! Good thing there wasn't a male counterpart to that.

I find it strange though that 9 out of the 10 toys are dolls...erm...[i]action figures[/i]. There's gotta be something interesting to psychoanalyze there, or maybe the 70s just were the big action figures era.

The 12" doll is still very popular among a certain collector elite. Sideshow makes absolutely beautiful dolls and they have all the hottest licenses. I saw their lineup at Toy Fair a couple years ago in NYC. Check out this Clone War General Obi Wan Kenobi:

Love the KISS figures, marv. Are they yours? I saw that Side Show has Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten figures, too.

Thanks Scram! The photos of Hugo made my day. I've never met anyone who remembered Hugo, now I have pictures I can show! I'm sure my kids will think it's a pretty creepy toy.

Geez - looking back, the GI Joe's and Big Jim's look sa gay! LOL!

[/quote]I would agree, especially the Big Jim assortment looks like a gay porn casting call. I had the Evel Knievel launcher as with the Snake River Canyon he never made it over the creek by my elementary school either. Who needed a Stretch Armstrong? That's what little brothers were for. Hugo looks like one of those clay facial reconstructions the police use from a unidentified persons skull.
