LOL! I guess humor is my way of dealing with everything but this stuff is all true!
Oh and now I just got a call from Michelle. We start to talk about stuff and she brings up Coney Island. She tells me that she was there a few weeks ago and it is full of aids infected hookers. You guys know how I feel about Coney. So I start to explain how coney is being built up and the new things happening. She just says she would never be caught dead there and I am nuts for ever bringing my kids! What did you say? So she says I can do what I want with my kids but she would never put her kid even near coney. Then she says nathans had about 40 aids patients with open sores there. I said I had to go and hung up on her. This week should be a real blast.

Ever see the episode of Friends where no one knows that Monica and Chandler are a couple except Joey? That is, until, Rachel and Phoebe find out. There's a scene where Rachel and Phoebe say "they don't know that we know that they know". They turn to Joey. He is lost.

I'm Joey right now.

I am going to re-read this again tomorrow and try to figure this out.

Don't take this the wrong way, but no matter how nutters some of these people may be (and may act), YOU have to be the bigger person and keep your lips zipped during this time. This is not about you or anyone else. It's about remembering this guy's life and letting him go.

Just my $.02.

I would hafta agree, BMG. If it were me I would save all the personal stuff for after the services, and only if someone else brought it up. Snubbing people is very underrated. [:D]

The art of snubbing is my favorite, because I am a very animated lively person so if I am like hi nice to see you...its like a punch in the gut. I hear you all and I will try to be quiet but I think there will be some drama. There is way too much history between all of us and lots of hard feelings.Everyone that knows me keeps telling me to just show up, talk to the family and leave. It is a good plan but I might be stuck because the guy I am going there with was the dead guys best friend. But he even told me he is dreading seeing the girls. They hate him and are pretty vocal about it. They are already talking about each other and shit. I rather not even go. I am really not a funeral person. I think you should say goodbye and deal in your own way and not in front of a crowd of people. Its like a show. The girls are already making weekend plans like going out after. Give me a break. I will try my hardest to be very quiet and civil. But all it takes with me is one comment.

Totally. I figure that I will go with Willy (the hated by all women ex husband)and we will stand in a corner then split. I want to stay away from the girls gunning for him and all their drama. Hopefully all will go well. Sunday everyone goes home so that day can't come fast enough. Oh and now the girls have it in for me because I told Willy that he could stay at my house.

Up to the minute coverage on my life!

ok, so I just got a call from my bosses boss telling me they want to promote me to replace my boss. I don't want the job but as I get that call, Willy calls from the plane. Instead of coming tonight, he arrives at 5! Now I have 15 minutes to shower, clean the house, pick up the kids and leave for the airport. The fun begins! Did I mention that I am terrible with pressure?

Inquiring minds want to know...what transpired? How many cops were dispatched to the scene? Any DNA tests done (accidental or otherwise)? DNA swaps?

It was horrible! I'm really not in the right frame of mind yet, but I owe something to you guys after building it up. I did see a ton of people I have not seen in years. I went with Willy and his mom on thursday and friday. Then friday night he tells me the girls are here. I see Michelle first. She is ignoring me because she wants to kill me. So I see Evelyn and I hug her and say hi. Then I see Patti. I just fell apart. We were so close for so many years and we have to make up. We talked for a long time and yelled at each other too. The next day at the mass was so bad. Without planning it, we all ended up in the same row sitting next to each other. When we all looked around and realized it, we all broke down. It was really really bad. Then we met up at the burial. That was so fucked up. He is our first friend to go. You start looking at the situation and seeing how really short life is. We were all (not Willie-he is still hated) hanging on each other and crying. Me and the girls went to dinner and talked more. It was good but very sad. Patti has been through hell over the years and is very different than the friend I knew but we will try again. Last night we talked for 2 hours.
I have trouble looking back to how we all were and have moved on to our seperate lives. Its just so sad. It was very much like a movie.

Add another 2 1/2 hours on the phone last night with Patti and emails from my god daughter. What a difference a day makes.

Sounds like a tv show or movie script in the offing resembling Thirtysomething or The Big Chill. Who will you enlist to play you in the tv show or movie?

You know, Philly...it sounds like a lot of good came out of a tragic situation...the renewal of old and treasured relationships
