The funny thing is that I came VERY close to not talking to her and giving the snub. That would have been a HUGE mistake and I almost did it. I absolutely love this girl and her kids so much and I thank god I was big enough to grab her and start talking. I'm really not the type to do this either. No one expected it from me. Now I just haver to deal with my mind racing with the "what ifs". I usually get back to normal after 2 weeks. I go through this funk every time I see someone I cared for. I think too much. Man this girl has been through a ton of shit.

Well, maybe you're a changed man, Philly! Calm, docile Philly.

I think it's the photography - you're in kind of a zen state now and your chi feels kickin-healthy. Plus your sense of humor has become sharp as a tack.

Well...I'm not surprised. I have known for a long time that they are sympathetic to the squirrels' cause.

UPDATE!!!!!!!
Ok so I have talked to Patti a couple of times during the week for hours. Then I talked to Michelle. She opened up both barrels on me. Long story short...she was always jealous of Patti and me. And probably stopped anything happening between me and Patti. I do remember Michelle making it uneasy by making fun of Patti etc. And I find out that Patti did like me at one point but was afraid to go there because of Michelle. Mich and me were only friends like brother and sister but she was jealous and did what she could to discourage Patti. Right after that, Patti met Willie and that was the start of her disaster marriage. I totally know this stuff was 25 years ago and I really am not mad because who knows what really would have happened. But things might have been good. Anyway, it was a long time ago and lives move on. But that is where the what if factor moves in. It is silly to be mad at something 25 years ago but lives would have been different.

The outcome now is that I have a family now and I have also renewed the friendships with all. So I am now ready to put the past in the past again where it should be.

Glad to hear everything worked out in the end.

Now, you must supply another drama for me to follow seeing as my nights will now be so empty.

You know...I didn't see this coming when the thread began but, when you think about it, it really couldn't have worked out better for you in the end.

It's fun to think about the what-ifs in your life. I'm sure most people have 'em. I often imagine what it would be like to run into the subject of a what-if. You got that chance. It actually sounds like it was a blast...if in an odd way.

UPDATE!!!!!!! I knew you guys were dying to know what happened. So after the funeral, Me and Patti talk at least once a week for hours and we also text each other a lot. It is really awesome having her back in my life. Then me and Michelle got together for dinner and drinks last week. BUT?????? I found out that Patti used to like me (25 years ago) but Michelle put a stop to it! Why? She was jealous. A third party put it all together for me and said she thought that if Mich never got involved, me and patti would probably have gotten married and still be together. How is that for the what ifs?
It is taking me a while to clear my mind of that stuff but all in all at least I have them back.
