Gov Spitzer aka client #9

Postby enzfan » Mon Mar 10, 2008 9:51 pm

As he is refered to in the investigation. He built his reputation on rooting out corruption now he seems entangled in it. He has been on a backwards roll lately with the prostitution scandal, his staff having state police insvestigate the republican senate majority leader, and his asinine proposal to make it easier for illegals to get a drivers licenses. Will he resign or try and hang on?

With all the people this guy's been on, he didn't think someone would take him down? What an idiot. He had to be on the straight and narrow. Put a fork in him.

I am just flabberghasted by this. I really believed in Spitzer. He did so many great things when he was Attorney General & I was really excited when he became Gov. He was one of the few politicians that I thought really had people's best interests at heart. I thought he was above corruption. I just can't beleive this & am so disappointed.

I also had high hopes for Spitzer, but it took only a few weeks in office for him to alienate every Republican in Albany with his bullying tactics, and shortly thereafter it's discovered he's got his cronies spying on the Republican State Senate majority leader. Unnecessary and embarrassing.

By all accounts, little gets accomplished in the New York State legislature anyway. It's run like an oligarchy. But while they won't admit to it, the NY Republicans will not work with Spitzer. And this scandal will only widen the divide. They despise him, and I don't blame them.

It's now time for new blood.

Has there ever been a governor who is legally blind? New York's lieutenant governor is.

No, the Lieutenant would be the first if he takes over.

Well, they won't have to work with now anyway, will they?

Leno said it best last night...the guy who promised to bring illegal prostitution to its knees was doing so one prostitute at a time!

<p align="justify">As read on the Cafferty files:

Spitzer could spin this to make New York a safe haven for these poor illegal workers to do business. After all, they do work that nobody else wants to do[}:)]

I think that the price shocked a lot of people outside of New York. Larry Craig of Idaho said he would have done it for half.
