Was anybody else into this band? I don't recall if they were lumped into the punk /new wave genre. I always thought they were pretty much a straight ahead rock band with a bit of a punk edge. Face to Face(Take a Long Line,Marseilles) and DarkRoom(Face the Day ) were their best efforts.

One of my all-time faves. I've got most of their discography in both US and Oz formats.
I first heard Marseilles when it was a "hit" like 1980 or so and was hooked. Doc has had some troubles in the last 10 years that have left him in alot of pain and ballooned up from steroid therapy. It's also put him on the outs with the rest of the band. He still performs but its just not the same. A sad end to a great great band.

I got into them briefly when I was yay high because of "Face the Day," but by the time the next album came around, I had already moved on. They got some decent MTV play in the early days ('81-'82).
Doc Neeson was a total character even when the songwriting wasn't there.

Great band the thinking mans ACDC from OZ.I love the song No Exit and most of their lp,s are pretty good.If you love OZ rock then I implore you to check out the new Ian Rillen and Beasts of Bourbon releases

Ian Rillen WITH the Beasts of Bourbon? That could be amazing.
