Still amazes me how many people don't know The Plimsouls.

Supposedly they were working on a new album recently but I haven't seen anything about it.

Ah, The ON Klub, my most fave hangout from 1981 to 1983! A Modernist (Mod/Ska) Heaven, every Friday night The Question and The Untouchables, and every Saturday night The Plimsouls and The Question, well almost every weekend they played there as the house bands!!!

Gotta share with you guys some of the vintage pictures from that club circa 1982/'83...

Here are some photos of the place, the ON Klub in Silver Lake (Los Angeles) that you see in the movie [i]Valley Girl[/i], think those red bricks inside and out!

You are welcome, thanks to Blir for posting the "Valley Girl" snippett that made me think of The ON Klub from back in the day. So like I've got more photos to scan and find, and will see if I can post a thread on LA clubs, both live and dance from the '80s. Syntherzierman and I were just talking about LA club/concert scene a few weeks back (trying to) remembering them all, well trying to anyway... cheers!

I think someone else in another thread correctly pointed out that the club in the clip is not the ON Klub; also I don't believe the ON Klub had bricks anywhere visible.

The Plimsouls probably played the ON but surely not every Saturday night.

That photo of the Skinheads leaning against a wall is not on the side of the ON; there were no sides, and the photo certainly isn't from the front.

That great photo of the front of the ON during its heyday was originally from I belive Tim Fuller. It was taken either on Thursday, May 27th 1982 (Crawdaddys were playing) or the following Sunday ("Mod All-Dayer").
