Boston Dynamics (read: MIT's military wing) have released new, remarkable video footage of their robotic quadruped ‘pack mule’ in action showing just how far developed this DARPA funded robot’s sense of balance has developed – even to the extent that it can maintain its balance whilst climbing obstacles and when losing its grip on black ice (as well as being kicked). All the more impressive if you consider that in addition to it's own 235 pounds it has to carry a payload of another 340 pounds.

That is amazing. Much more lifelike than the Imperial Walkers. Just wait until it has access to artifical intelligence that can improve its own software and nano-assemblers to to re-work its design. I hope it likes us.
