Looks like Nashville will be the first team out of the playoffs. They were totally outclassed by the Wings. Didn't see the first game, but if it looked like the one I just watched, The Predators will be golfing by Wednesday.

Sens are giving Nashville a run for their money! Hope they're better at home (both of them).

On another note, be interesting to see if the Bruins can bounce back tonight. Way, way too many "fair weather" Canadiens fans at my workplace.

Boston playing much better tonight, and thanks Kovalev...you big suck. What an asinine penalty to take!!!

Hope the Bruins do it in the overtime.

Ottawa does look weak.

The Bruins deserved better, whatever happened to let the boys play in OT. I guess that doesn't apply in Montreal. What a suck ass tripping call!

Especially when Reich tool a stick to the chops 10 seconds before he got nailed with the tripping call. I've seen that same "follow though" stick to the face called 50 times this year.

I think it's time to bring out the foil!

Watching the Penguins-Senators game on Yahoo in a 3" x 3" box in the middle of my computer screen sucks. Anyone know much time remains on the current NHL TV contract?

Last year CBC.ca had a better system for video streaming which seemed to be infinitely sizable up to full screen. This year however it's postage stamp size or a VERY pixilated full screen. Shitty viewing to be sure.

WOW! The Sens went quietly. Pathetic really. Totally heartless effort.

Yep. Not a huge surprise though, they played very much like they had been playing for the last third of the season. Lots of talk in the media here about how they were going to "turn-it-on" for the playoffs, but things rarely work out that way. Be interesting to see how the Penguins perform against more inspired opposition.

On the plus side, all of the other playoff series have been much more competitive. I'm going to try to catch some of the Wild/Avs match tonight, from the highlights it has looked like a good series.

The NJ/NYR series has lived up to the billing (except for the Ranger's hokey we salute the fans thing at the end of the game, are they for real?). Well, and from what I have seen neither goaltender in that series has been great.

Wait, playoffs?! When did the strike end? Did I not pay my bills to the esteemed Outdoor Life Network or whatever they're calling it now??

They should bow out in 6, I saw nothing special in their efforts against the Sens.

Agreed, even Nashville has looked better the last 2 games. I like how the Flames/Sharks series is shaping up.

I always thought that was a preventative measure in the event of gunfire...makes it tough to get a clean shot.
