I'm posting the message I received by email a few days ago. This person didn't get around to signing up so I figured I'd post it for them. These songs both really good BTW and I'm shocked I've never heard them before. The first sounds a bit like Comsat Angels.

A friend of mine, Jeff Shelton (80’s Underground show), recently told me about your website. It occurred to me that with your extensive knowledge of the 80’s music era, that you might be able to help me identify two songs that my dad recorded off a DC radio station in the early 80’s and I still don’t know who the artists are. I have the songs uploaded on my Myspace page in hopes that someone out there can help me figure them out. If you wouldn’t mind stopping by and giving them a listen I would greatly appreciate it!
