The Tragedy Of Macbeth by William Shakespeare
I love to re-read various passages from Macbeth and quote [it] every now and then to unknowing peeps[}:)]

This play is so amazing. I teach it yearly to my Seniors, and each time it gets better and better. This is some good, meaty material !
<p align="justify">I couldn't quite get into Hamlet or King Lear, which I read in my junior or senior years. Macbeth and Julius Caesar, which I read in my sophomore year, are what got me into the arts and humanities in a big way. There is so much bravado in those plays, it's crazy. They're sly and devilish in that they're told from the villain's perspective.
"But for mine own part, it was Greek to me"[:D]
"Out out brief candle..."
Damn. THAT soliloquy is GOLD!
I also dig classic poetry: Marlowe ("who ever loved that did not love at first sight?"), Shakespeare, Dickinson, Frost (who was also kinda keen on Macbeth), Whitman, and maaaaybe Pound and Eliot.
