Update on the whereabouts.

Postby Frayo » Sun May 18, 2008 1:59 am

I know that there are probably 4 people remotely interested in my whereabouts. I finished my degree in accounting, and a minor in Spanish. I'm now working toward a degree in Music Production (which is an actual degree at Appalachian State) and another minor in Russian, and an accidental minor in Computer Information Systems (Network Administration).

I've taken a second job (still working at the employment office full- only now I'm making $12/hr instead of $10)

But I've taken a second job as an evening manager at Hardess (they saw my experience and hired my bum ass as a manager cause of my resume and references)

Between that- I will begin my normal summer routine of just working 65 hours a week....but this time the money is not going to drugs. I am buying synthesizers...like mad. It's all about the synths, baby. I've tried to break the drug habit numerous times- but I found the only way to shake the habit of doing drugs was to find a replacement hobby...and these things only appreciate in value. No worries, hardware recording devices are being ordered as well as a Cubase-equipped computer. I'm making music instead of listening to it. I will have recordings mastered by August, so it'll be coolio.

Anyway- I have the week off, so I'll be lingering around here. I was summoned by the orbiting spheres (actually an email) and it prompted my temporary return.

I have a new girlfriend- went through a record 7 gfs last year- but this one is freakishly awesome. I met her in my advanced Russian grammer class- and shes really hot- and digs the synths- she can weild one of these machines almost as well as me- and that's kind of scary.

Oh, and I've swapped my entire wordrobe for 70s polyester- it causes hilarity.

Hey Frayo! I'm glad to see you're back. It's been kind of quiet here lately but on the plus side, we did a little more housecleaning and tidied the place up a bit. Stick around this time.

Nice to see you back. Can't wait for more stories of youth gone synth.

Glad to see you're still alive, son.

BTW, if you can swing it, get yourself a minimoog. I haven't heard any synths currently being made that can duplicate that sound.

Seriously. I know. What a sound. 3 oscillators per note!
Who can top that with that classic and god-like transistor ladder filter??!

Nobody, that's who.

Unfortunately I wont be able to swing that for a while.
I'd wire a CV/Gate interface so I can trigger it with some cubase/MIDI work. Oh man, if there were a minimoog in the current arrangement, you'd see me missing quite a few nights of sleep.
