3 Bands You Would Have Wanted To See On The Bill

Postby club80 » Sun May 18, 2008 2:30 am

What three bands do you think would have made an awesome bill together. I am looking for bands that would have complemented each other, not just three great bands.
I will start this by saying that I think Joy Division, Crispy Ambulance and Gang Of Four would have really made for a memorable evening.

A couple of notes:
I am not looking for bands whose names would have been funny together (like Eyeless In Gaza and Pointed Sticks)
Also, I took the high road on this thread's title. After getting thrown off by recent titles and their actual content (the "Adolescent Sex" and the "Kissing The Pink" threads come to mind), I decided not to call this "Best Threesome", "Best Threeway" or "Menage A Trois"

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

^^^^^ LOL!! ^^^^^

New Order, OMD, and Ultravox for me. That would have been synthsational! (I initially planned for The Cure instead of Ultravox but IMO their way too similar to New Order)

PS. club80 your one post short of 1000!!! [:D] Congrats in advance.

Kissing the Pink, Killer Pussy, and Sexbeat.

or maybe Joy Division, Gang of Four and The Clash.

of maybe The Plimsouls, 20/20, and Bram Tchaikovsky.

or maybe Heaven 17, OMD, and The Human League.

I like all of Blir's suggestions--might swap Spandau Ballet for Human League.

How about the Knack, the Heats, and the (U.S.)Beat?

Dammit! I used my 1000th post on a degenerate comment! The smart money had me beating up Georgie or Bosten with #1000.

Heh, should I be flattered? [:D] But feel free to take a swing at Mr. Bought-his-house-with-cash for me anyway.

Good topic. I'll go with the Alarm, Big Country and the Waterboys.

For my synth half I'll go with Fiction Factory, China Crisis and Vitamin Z.

I always thought Big Country and The Alarm would work well too, Marv
