There was something very disturbing about the way he looked. I can't put my finger on it.

That being said, he was in great voice.

Agreed..

Definitely was a raspiness to his voice and he looked pretty gaunt.
That being said, it was a heartfelt rendition that he obviously went through great pains to belt out as best he could.

Dunno.. he may indeed be grappling with some serious health issues that are an unfortunate consequence of his prior indiscretions and lifestyle.

Still a great talent nonetheless..

After the song, he remarked to Ryan Seacrest that he had a cold.

While I think George is a great singer, I was completely underwhelmed by that particular ballad. It just never lifted off the ground. Yes it was heartfelt and I could tell it was really important to George, but I enjoyed the idol contestants singing "Freedom" a lot more.

I thought their rendition of the song was horrendous, as is usually the case when these so called "singers" do shoddy covers of good songs. They ruin them beyond belief.

He looks ok to me, he has slimmed down over the years. Looks the same to be honest, sounded good too.

I think George's ever-decreasing nose size is the most obvious thing to me.

I never watch this show and hearing that George Michael was a guest performer reminds me of why I don't watch it.
