On to the semis!

Have to admit that I did not stay up last night to watch all of the Shark's last hurrah against Dallas. From what I did see it was a real "let 'em play" game.

The battle of Pennsylvania could be a good one, but I just can't see the Flyers having the firepower to pull it off (but then what do I know, I drafted a bunch of Caps in our playoff pool). Pens in 6.

How did Dallas get this far? Good goaltending and some luck? Would be great for me in the playoff pool for the Wings to go out (I think that everyone from that team including the goalies & the trainers were drafted) but they seem to be on a roll.

Looks like a Penguin/Red Wing final.

The Sharks/Stars game was great! I did miss the 3rd OT (nodded off) but woke up just as the puck dropped on the 4th. What a save on Richards by Nabokov! The Sharks missed too many chances to win though.

I think you're right. Pittsburgh looks to be out of gas...probably doing that half a tank thing.

You know...there is a logical explanation for the long playoffs, you know. The rule in the NHL is that every team qualifies for the playoffs annually except my NY Islanders. Go ahead...look it up. I KNOW it's in the rules.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Have the Islanders ever gone past the 1st round since they mandated helmets?

LOL! Come to think of it, probably not. I think our last playoff goal was scored by Bobby Nystrom!

Sorry folks. I know the season is not over yet but look at this possibilty of a free agent signing.

The time has come to finally unite the Devils with Satan

Congrats to the Red Wings. That triple OT game made the series, I was hoping to see game 6 go to OT and then have a game 7. Such is life. Hasek has/is expected to announce his retirement.

I can now go back to being a Leafs fan (I was rooting for the Penguins). Leafs are expected to announce the naming of Ron Wilson as coach, sometime over the next few days. Speculation continues to be that Brian Burke will be named as the Leafs' next President and GM. If that happens, all we'll need is some players. [;)]
