Dammit! Don't Talk to Me About Love by Altered Images was just starting at the very end of 1983 #2. Oh well, enjoyed it all the same. Really loving these!

I haven't had a chance to listen to these yet, but I'm very grateful that you've shared these. 1983 was my personal favorite year for WLIR, so I can't wait to hear that one.

Keeping in the spirit of sharing our WLIR 'Memories'

<a href="http://www.zshare.net/audio/13675879a4b30b96/" target="blank">Here's a little gem</a> that I acquired sometime ago which is an actual over the air in studio remix by (who I believe was DJ Bird) of Cult Hero's 'I Dig You'. Over the years the LIR airstaffers would treat the listers to spontaneous spur of the moment in studio remixes and extended club style dance track sets such as these. More proof positive of how truly unique Elton Spitzer's WLIR really was.

No...don't thank me...it was retro who posted this.

Remember the WLIR zoobusters song? It wasn't very good but it won screamer of the week. It was the WLIR airstaff singing to the tune of "Ghostbusters". I have it if anyone wants that. It is a WLIR remembrance, if nothing else. Let me know.

How 'bout <a href="http://www.zshare.net/audio/136799464f1d97c6/" target="blank">this classic bit</a> that was one of many they ran over the years. (My thanks to Cee for that one)

Hey, does anyone remember one they ran (I think it was post- Spitzer 92.7) when they were going head to head against WBAB?

I recall it was a station promo-bit mocking 'BAB's supposedly 'inferior' live simulcast broadcasts from local venues such as the Nassau Coliseum, freaking hilarious![:D]
