Favourite New Wave Album Covers

Postby Minty » Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:45 am

I was just browsing through my records this afternoon, and really enjoyed looking at the diversity of sleeves in front of me. The best ones by far were the new wave ones. One that really stood out to me was Kate Bush's "Never Forever", something so distinctly beautiful about that cover.

What are some of your favourite new wave album covers?

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I like Ghost In The Machine, Night and Day, Sidekicks, Murmer and War to name a few faves.

Minty, you should check out the book "This Ain't No Disco: New Wave Album Covers"; it's loaded with full page color photos of new wave albums.

I liked that last thread, Glok. That was the one that went beyond covers and into office displays, etc. I remember thinking at the time that my office looked pretty boring in comparison.
