Great stuff everyone. Listening to these are like climbing out of a time-travel machine.

Listening to these makes me feel like I am sitting in my bedroom at my parents house blow drying my big hair-do and getting ready for Spit or Malibu.

Thanks again.....[:)]

Thx for the kind words, everyone.
...but I must say that listening to these makes me feel like I am Spit or Malibu again, trying to pick up, but ultimately striking out with women with big hair-do's!

I miss Off the Boat.

And can I say how sad it was to re-visit that last day ever of WLIR? Especially hearing the promise to come back "after a brief hiatus".

Could there be more tapes from WLIR's last day to surface shortly? [;)]

It figures, the ONLY version of Ledernaken's 'Amok' I do not have would be the one I heard on Tape 15 (The one with the wood saw & car crash sounds) [|)]

on the third WLIR 1983 tape there is a song that I have not heard in a LOOOOOONG time, the one after Joe Jackson-sunday papers near the end, "if you would kiss me, I am sure that I would kiss you twice"

what is the name of it??? who does it????

Yes, very familiar, what/who is that? The instrumental opening and ending is amazing.
