If anyone around NYC hasn't been to the Nokia Theatre, it's highly recommened. Yes, it's new and clean and very much a part of the newer Times Square, but it also has great sound and a choice of being right up in the pit or a little farther back in plushy seats.

I bought a ticket last night! I've only seen Blondie once, about 3 years ago. They sounded great live.

Anyone know if the original band will be backing? I'd kill to see Clem Burke pound the kit again with his original crew. That guy is a great drummer.

I believe that Clem Burke will be with them. But don't count on Nigel Harrison and Frank Infante!

When you say "the original band" I assume you are referring to the line-up that gained huge financial success. There were a number of line-ups with different members (e.g. Ivan Kral, ?Fred Smith?) etc

schwenko-- you're exactly right. To put it more clearly, I was hoping for the lineup of the band that recorded the Parallel Lines album. If Clem is touring with them, I don't see how I can turn down this opportunity.

YES!!!

plus I'm Always Touched By Your Presence, Dear, Rapture, Call Me and for an encore The Tide Is High, and Get Off My Cloud (Rolling Stones cover).

No Jimmy Destri, Frank Infante, Nigel Harrison.. competent fill-ins though. Opening act was Blondie-influenced Miss Derringer (Deborah Harry dedicated Pretty baby to their lead singer).

Great show! Clem Burke shone on drums.
