Shades of Reginald Denny

A local story here has a white male riding a motorcycle supposedly being tailgated by a black female and son in a SUV. At a red light the motorcyclist comes back to the auto and asks why she is tailgating him. The woman proceeds to shoot the man in the chest.(This is caught on gas station surveillance camera) After shooting him she and her son get out and start taunting and kicking the shooting victim. She denied this but it is visible on gas the station tape. The victim had a conviction 30 years ago as an accessory to manslaughter. The woman in the past year was charged with battery against a woman at a ymca and she called 911 in another on the road incident only three months ago where she pulled her handgun on another auto. Of course she says he threatened to hit her, he denies it. The county prosecuter didn't want to press charges so he passed it on to a grand jury which will decide if charges will be filed against the shooter. I saw an interview with the man at the hospital yesterday and he made a very valid point. He said if the colors were reversed and he had shot and then got out and kicked the victim it would have been a national news story especially with the inclusion of video.

He's absolutely right. If it had been reversed, this story would have been huge and he'd be up on hate crime charges and convicted in the court of public opinion before he even had a trial. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, they charge her with. She'll probably get away with it. After all, we all know there's no such thing as black crime.

<p align="justify">Nah, man. This is a life lesson that came at a high price. Whenever you're on the road or anywhere in public, don't fuck other people's shit up. Don't try to play a tough guy, or play a hero, or even bother to confront complete strangers face-to-face; you don't know what kind of subhuman low-life you're gonna go up against and if they're packing heat, you're done - dusted over nothing.

I had a similar encounter with two skinheads a year ago. They cut me off and I yelled out "ball-headed cunts" at them. They stopped their car, they were getting out with baseball bats, I was reaching for a knife that I keep under the driver's seat... then other cars started honking, people pulling out their cell phones, and I managed to speed off. It was a big mess over something stupid.

Daily event for me, although it's not always the same insult. The good thing about where I live in Canada is nobody speaks English here anymore, so I can hurl insults with reckless abandon. They just stare back with a stunned look on their face(s).
