Features pre-Karate Kid Ralph Macchio, Barbara Bach, Ron Liebman (who interestingly is not listed in the IMDB cast credits) plus songs from Bow Wow Wow & Iggy Pop.

Anyone remember "Reckless" (1984) with Daryl Hannah and Aidan Quinn? Football player from the wrong side of the tracks hooks up with cheerleader. Soundtrack includes Romeo Void and one of my all-time favorite INXS songs, "Soul Mistake." Unfortunately, it's not out on DVD. I have an old video of it somewhere.

I guess "Heathers" doesn't count as being forgotten either.

I also remember that great 'reckless' after hours romp through the high school done to Kim Wilde's 'Kids In America'

I have never seen the movie "Reckless". I love Aidan Quinn, so I am on a quest to find an inexpensive copy on VHS.

I always found it amusing that when Reckless aired on regular tv, they never censored the word "fuck" when it came up in the lyrics to "Never Say Never". [:D]

Of the choices given, I vote for [i]Tex[/i] and [i]My Bodyguard[/i]. I can't choose between those two. Hell, I wanna add the other S.E. Hinton adaptations: [i]The Outsiders[/i], [i]Rumble Fish[/i], and [i]That Was Then, This Is Now[/i][}:)]

Love River's Edge, just watched that again recently.

Yesterday, saw [i]Cutting Class[/i] from 1989 with a young Brad Pitt. Totally cheesy 80's horror mess, also had Martin Mull and some others, a complete waste of time, after watching it, I looked it up on imdb and Pitt actually had apologized for making it.

I see this 'unofficial sequel' comment a lot online. I don't get it. I get that Savage Steve directed both, the animated opening sequences, Cusack and Curtis Armstrong together, but the similarities end there. By this logic, you could say that Breakfast Club is an unofficial sequel to Sixteen Candles! Now, if Ricky and Monique had shown up in One Crazy Summer...CHRIST-MAS! I recently re-watched "Gotcha" and "Summer School". I had a hankering for "Blame it on Rio", but haven't been able to track it down.

I remember feeling very unsettled after watching River's Edge when it first came out. There were just too many lowlifes from my hometown that could have played any of those characters.

I can't believe anyone would be tired of this movie? it's probably 1A. on my all time list of "greatest movies ever", It really got me to liking so many other teen movies, it was sort of the Godfather of all teen movies for me.


They didnt even mention: Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Less Than Zero(though, not a comedy), Weird Science, Back to school, My secret admirer, Johnny Suede?(that movie w/Brad Pitt with the huge hair) and so many others.
