Any suggestions for reissues?

Spaz,
I'm a big fan of the Knack (have met them before)and any band from that time frame with a similar sound is my type of music, especially the Hawks, who are as polished as it gets in the power pop genre.
By the way, are you the guy who wrote the liner notes for the Hawks' "Perfect World Radio" CD?
Also, a couple of others. I know Rhino released the first Plimsouls LP on CD with bonus tracks, but it's out of print, while a Nashville band called "Walk the West," who sound like a countryfied Smithereens might be a candidate for reissue of their one LP which came out in 1986.

Yes, I'm proud to say that I am....and I'm glad you bought that CD! Not Lame is/was a grand label...and they sell tons of power pop through the internet as well.

The good ol' days of power pop remind me of great times. So many great bands around way back when. Here's a list of who I think are worthwhile for anyone on this board to check out. I've included Power Pop, New Wave and Mod bands that could easily fit into the same-ish catagory (ie: all great bands with short, snappy tunes that have hooks that stick inside your head for decades). Does anyone remember some or all of them? I still LOVE this stuff as much as, if not more then, the old days...

Great list Spaz! I don't know all of these bands, but really like about 1/3 of them. And yes, I like them as much if not more than I did back in the day. A good powerpop hook is timeless, huh?!

Hey Spaz,,,The Jags 2 LPS are available as a best of cd since 2001 & is still in print here in the U.S. at a budget price.
It's also readily available on Ebay as well.

Spaz,,,i noticed you had The Innocents on your list. it would be awesome to see The Innocents or any other band from "BOARDWALK RECORDS" released on cd.
The Innocents were on Neil Bogart's "Boardwalk Records" as well as a bunch of other "Power Pop/New Wave" artists like :::: Phil Seymour,
Get Wet,Rox,Joan Jett & The Blackhearts,Roger Voudouris,Ringo Star,All Sports Band,Stompers,etc............
Phil Seymour's debut lp on Boardwalk was issued on cd thru the collectables label,Joan Jett's "I love Rock n Roll is out on cd,but that's all i'm aware of right now.
on last word,Margate Entertainment out of Las Vegas aquired the entire Boardwalk Records catalog a few years ago,but there has been no peep from them of releasing anything that was on Boardwalk.
Margate Ent. also bought alot of other labels too.

Spaz,
This is digging deep, but if you know someone at RCA, suggest that they put out the two LPs of the band Sky on CD. That's the pre-Knack band that Doug Fieger was part of. I have their debut "Don't Hold Back" from 1970 on an LP and Fieger himself was kind of enough to run me a copy of "Sailor's Delight" their 1971 follow-up on a cassette.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
