<br>Thanks motnow.

Can anyone identify the song on the WLIR 1983 01 tape that comes after Elvis Costello and the Scuba diving joke? It is at about 22 minutes into the tape and the women is singing "All we have is prominence" Madness, "Our House" follows the song.

I'm afraid I can't identify the song. Sorry...I just downloaded it at work. I've been so busy the last few days that I didn't have a chance to listen...but wow...look at what all you awesome folks did lately! I will be downloading tonight!

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Thanks club80. Hopefully Rewind will be able to indentify it.

Thanx for your latest tape installment motnow.[:p]

Man, '85 was a great year @92.7

I always dug that the intro to Nik Kershaw's 'Radio Musicola' featured the voices of LIR airstaffers Larry The Duck-Dunn, Denis Mcnamara, Bob MaRonne, Donna Donna and Malibu Sue.

Just goes to show how influential WLIR was.[8D]

I've been listening to these tapes alot these past few days. It's like having gold in my iTunes. I'm so glad to be able to expand my own LIR collection with them. There really will never, ever be another LIR. What a unique time the eighties were.

I got into LIR in mid-85. From then to mid-86 I think LIR was at its peak. The best time on the best station, IMO.

Thanks for the new editions Worm & Mot.

Yo Dude, like, I totally appreciate your appreciation, man.

This is funny, I'm actually updating my burnout slang from 30 years ago. Besides my New Wave library (from 20 years ago), I'm also listening thru and digitizing my Cheech & Chong collection. FAR OUT, MAN ! My IQ is going down az I tipe.

Wormster, you have made a new wave outpost member a very happy guy. "BlackoutNY" was looking for the "shreek" and you have it on your post.
Thanks so much for posting. Great to hear the shreek party from 007!
