Grabbed you right in the gonads, dinnit? How can a song where Alison sings in less than a third of it and then leave the stage for synth stylings by Vince (or by his laptop anyway [:p]) have been so amazing? Yet it was! [:D][8D] And the surprise of that bass when it kicks in and your chest feels like it's about to cave in?? Amazing.

Let me add my 2 cents;
Last night's (Thursday) show at Terminal 5 was every bit as good as the Orpheum show from a week earlier. Of course I was much closer to the stage and Alf this time, and in the company of the NWO clan The Blirs, Big Bri and Michelle, and Cubby and companion covering the right side (not sure where Ebbhead and the DJ Wave contingent were, but they were there).

Had to laugh when Alf flubbed Midnight! Does she do this at every show!!

The exact same setlist as LA, but I'm not complaining. Unexpected highlights were Midnight and the aforementioned GORGEOUS Too Pieces (one of the answers for NTT1?).

The sound and the acoustics were fantastic! No professional filming evident tonight.

One final show for me, The Beacon, Sat night.

GET SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN, how could I forget Too Pieces. Too many moments to mention. Also, Winter Kills. Though, a bunch of people around us were talking during the song. I heard a few "SHUT UP's" from annoyed people.

Was about 9 or 10 people back in front of Vince. Had the Alison spot yesterday. [;)] Given how narrow T5 is, I'm surprised we weren't actually shoulder to shoulder. [:p]

Will see you at The Beacon!

Fantastic Show...We were about 15 people back on the right near Vince. I will upload a few photos over the next few days. [:D]

Great remix version of I before e, hope they make that available.
If you have not checked out their site there are a few mixes on there for download that are free for a limited time.

The DJ played terrible music...just did not fit, and hardly anyone danced until Yaz switched to Soft Cell. FA crew kept telling me to go push the DJ off and plug in my Pod...certainly did not get the people too pumped up. Getting into the show we had to laugh, the security was top notch, they need to hire that crew for our airports, gal in front of us got snagged for a granola bar, and DJ Ed got quite the thrill when they frisked his speedo!! [^]

Sorry to dash right after the show. We had to work early and long ride home. Mine ended up being long with an outage coming back on the 11:20 train arriving back at 1:45.

The pre dinner meet was fun, nice meeting other NWO people who really enjoy music and a pleasure to talk about bands and tunes. Can you say addicts! I think Blir wins the top prize!! His addiction to BSP may need intervention! Thanks Blir for setting it up!! [:)]

We should do it again...keep an eye out for an upcoming Flashback Alternatives Party in 2009 for our 10th Year Celebration!!

Don't forget to tune in Mondays at 8 PM EST to Retropolis...Relative Connection show on Yaz coming soon!!

Here's a YouTube clip from one of the LA shows of Too Pieces:

Among other things note the complimentary visuals, and how frenzied the crowd sounds

and an even better sounding clip from Berlin

What time did they go on last night? We are planning on being there at 8 pm on Saturday and I have to go to "will call" for my tickets. Is that cutting it close? I don't want to miss a freaking thing!

Since it is 2 different venues I'm not sure that they are comparable. But I would definitely be there by 8PM /
To answer your question I believe it was about 8:15 PM Thursday night

Finally recovered from a hectic 48 hours... great show Thursday night, Alison hasn't missed a beat in those 25+ years. Terminal 5, while stark and spartan, was not the acoustic and visual disaster I was afraid it may be, based on all I had heard.

Mrs. Big and I had an awesome time... We watched the show with schwenko and Blir and the lovely Mrs. Blir. Nice to meet the DJ's, ebbhead (though briefly), and cubby. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

We'll look forward to doing something like this again.

I think they took the stage just after 8:30 pm.

Alison was quite enthusiastic throughout the show. And then there was Vince, pushing his buttons on the other side of the stage.

Have fun tonight at the Beacon.
