What a silly response to a silly response. Perhaps you know my friend Dieter and his famed dance party?

I didn't know the answer to that either....I emailed Max and its

The "People Are People" cover is by Götz Alsmann. It's on the CD For Collectors: 1982-1991.

I vaguely remember it...thought it was the Housemartins. Yes, very interesting. I found it on itunes as well.

Also, interesting, the version on the tape must be a 12" b/c the itunes version clocks at 2:55 and the version on the tape cuts off at almost 4 minutes...

I can't stop replaying the song though...will be in my head for a while!

I get a kick out of posting these tapes. It's funny how everyone gets into those odd/little known tunes that I luckily captured. I do the same exact thing when I play these. Sure, there are some tunes on these tapes that we've heard a zillion times but it's those little gems in between that shine thru.

After all, we all know the common-played out stuff by now. It's those rare ones that barely got a minute of fame and never saw the air again that catches our attention.

Glad to jog your memories!

motmow..you are so right when you said."After all, we all know the common-played out stuff by now. It's those rare ones that barely got a minute of fame and never saw the air again that catches our attention."
i have spent many years loving the very unpopular songs, many a one hit wonder to me and never being heard by the general public at all.
On your tapes, i have newly discovered more than a few songs that i never heard of at all,and i was a die-hard wlir fan. just goes to show you..
Keep this vintage wlir tapes going.loving them.thanks again

Hey Fuji, you got Max's email address? It was some sports store or something wasn't it? I haven't gotten a response from him over the past few years. He helped me locate "Euphoria".
