Very cool. Just got kind of a weird deja vu though that it started with Patti Smith's "Gloria", just like the documentary "Blank Generation". More appropriate for the latter I would think than for the Whiskey.

I found it odd that they were playing Slaughter & The Dogs and Johnny Moped tracks from the Live At The Roxy album instead of the bands they were showing.

I think he was in a band called "The Quick"

The young guy is Danny Wilde. You might know him from being half of the Rembrandts. He started in the Quick, moved onto Great Buildings (good new wave / power pop album) and then doing the "Friends" theme in the Rembrandts. Cool footage.

thanks! went onto the Rembrandts, huh? as much as everyone hates that song, it is interesting to see someone have a massive hit from such humble LA beginnings.....
