Driving drunk

Lost a co-worker about 6 hours ago....drunk and on a crotch rocket with no helmet. Lost control, hit a gaurd rail then a tree. Dead on the scene.

Stupid! He left a 14 year old daughter because of his stupidity. Damn.

This burns my ass....how selfish could this guy be. I couldn't imagine leaving my daughter that way.

I think we all may have driven once or twice while under the influence when we were young and stupid. Never, though, would I have ever gotten on a motorcycle while drunk. Never.

I feel bad for the family and for his friends.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

"young and stupid", there you go. We were all young and stupid at some time and did really stupid things but this guy was older and had a family. My heart goes out to his girl...I love both my kids but a father and daughter bond is massive. There's going to be a really big hole in her heart and it pains me to no end knowing that he did this to his girl.

I'm sorry but I have no feelings for people who do this to their families...flat out selfish....and I don't want to hear about how alcohol is a disease and he couldn't help it. Bullshit. He had a choice and he chose to drink. I lost 2 Grandfathers and a great Uncle to alcoholism. Am I an alcoholic? No. How about the rest of my family? No.

This really pisses me off. Sorry for ranting.

We may all have done some stupid or foolish things when we were younger, but never, not even once, did I get behind the wheel, or ever ride as a passenger, with anyone drinking. Not ONCE. Was not much of a drinker actually, maybe 10 beers in my life, and a glass of wine here and there. I've seen one too many victims of drunk drivers to ever be crazy enough to get in a car with one of them. And personally, if a drunk kills someone while driving, it should be murder. Same as a gun or any other instrument of death.

Well said, Max. Even young and stupid is not much of an excuse and I was stupid for that time or two that I did it when I was 18.

I also have never been behind the wheel after drinking. No way. It's irresponsible and dumb-headed. I just don't take the chance, not with all the DWI checkpoints around my city.
