Kev Hopper (Stump)

Postby Max Murdoc » Wed Aug 13, 2008 10:21 pm

For those of you who know who Stump is/was/are, here's Kev Hopper's page. He's the inventive bassist from Stump who I rank up there with Holger Czukay from Can.

Here's the good news, he has made available his solo releases for free from the link below....now here's the slightly bad news. There all in 128 bit rate. They sound good and we should be appreciative (I know I am) but beggars can't be chooser's.

Forewarning....his tunes are pretty out there, samples, rubbery basslines, found sounds...etc. All the stuff I love. So check it out.

If you're using Firefox, there's a free add in called playtagger where you can play the tunes straight from the page (but of course, you already knew that).

Cheers

kev hopper is not only a real genius , but also very generous ! [:)]

his ( only ? ) single "the sound of gyroscopes" is a pure gem & sounds like a rather weird mixture of heaven 17 vs. xtc ! [:D]
