Video Name That Tune - New Wave All-Stars Edition

I got on a roll after making that last game, so I figure why not just fire this one out there. This game will be a bit of breather until a pretty massive one I have planned in a couple of weeks. The embedded video contains clips from 25 very well-known new wave acts - this should be pretty easy with a lot of classic riffs, synth lines and melodies (wasn't new wave particularly amazing for that?). I hope many more folks will participate given the expected familiarity.

Again, this is a contest to see who can name the most Artists and Songs in these clips. The rules:

1) Watch the video

3) Make a note of the Artist and Song for each clip

7) The game is on a 75 point basis - 1pt for each Artist and 2pts for each Song

9) The game will expire on Sunday August 24th at 11pm EST

I'll try to email you back your score and the answers relatively soon after submission. After the game closes, I'll tally up the scores, provide some statistics, and declare a Champion. That person will then be awarded the undying respect and awe of...blah blah blah.

Don't feel bad. While I have #19, I am having problems with a certain one also. No clue the first time around.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

OK, there are 3 or 4 I know that I know, keep singing parts of the song in my head and STILL can't get it.....it is driving me crazy!!! I finally couldn't take it anymore and just submitted my answers as is....I did much better this time [:I]

I think Blir felt bad for those of us who are musically-inept (like myself) and decided to put together a much easier version of this game....thanks Blir!!! You're the best!!!!! [^]

I'm not very good at numbers/counting but I also don't know (can't remember?) either number 19 or 20 (it's not the one with the awesome bassline).

The one that's really killing me is the one with those eyes (around 10?). All I know is:

- I know the band
- They're popular
- I love the band
- I know the song
- It's popular
- I love the song

but I can't for the life of me remember what it is!!! Anyway, most of the rest are easy pickings (some are too easy - almost ridiculous). And Blir, thanks for including the only *EDIT* song I know/like (see: http://nwoutpost.com/?TOPIC_ID=23623 ) Any other *EDIT* song and I wouldn't have known it!
