Question about shadows...

Postby Max Murdoc » Mon Aug 11, 2008 1:04 am

A friend of mine said that when he was young, he saw a shadow of a jet streaking across the yard (going about as fast as a jog). He claims the shadow was only about 8" long and he chased after it until he lost it in some trees.

My questions are:
Is he full of shit?
Did he start using crack at an early age?
Is this possible?

I can't seem to grasp the thought that the jet's shadow would be so small and yet defined enough to see that it is a jet. I figure that there would be a shadow but it would either be pretty large and not identifiable or it would be moving so fast that you wouldn't even see it.

So, what do you think?
