I've been there. Mrs Club80 is originally from New Hyde Park and I've eaten there. Yes...their sicilian pie is pretty awesome.

Lobster. It's cheesy, but probably Castagnola's At Fisherman's Wharf in San Fran. I'm sure there are much better places, but I must admit I've only eaten lobster or crab about 10 times in my life.

When I used to visit LSU a lot, we'd love to go to Boutin's in Baton Rouge. I'm no Cajun expert but it's the best I've had, especially if you stick strictly to a "Cajun" definition, undiluted by Creole or other generalized New Orleans type cuisine.

How about Indian? I mean really great Indian. Hard to find.

What do you guys think of 6th street in the East Village? Although there are purists who will say that it's not REALLY Indian food in alot of those restaurants, they're good (actually they're fantastic) enough for me.

Chicken wings? For me, as an Upstater, the only kind of wings are Buffalo - none of this other type of wing flavor snobbery!

The best I've had are from a little place here in Syracuse called DiBello's - which is your run of the mill pizza place. Last time I checked, they used the original small wings, not the big jumbo (gristley) wings, which everyone uses now. I'm sure they use a run of the mill sauce, but it's so good, salty, greasy, and a little vinegary. When you're eating trash, you might as well go for the lowest denominator.

Next: Hot Fudge Sundae (I've never met one large enough...)

Syracuse, huh? On a side note, ever been to The Spaghetti Warehouse there? I was there last October and had a blast. I'll be there again this October.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I went to the Spaghetti Warehouse maybe 16 - 17 years ago when they first opened. I thought it was cool. I have no idea where they are though...I know it's somewhat close to my house, but on a weird side street in a "not so great" neighborhood. There are tons of awesome little family owned Italian Places here and they usually trump the big chain places for me. Luigi's is fairly amazing, it's worth looking up. It's on the southside of town, not a good neighborhood, the restaurant has no atmosphere, but the food is more than great & that's all that matters. It's been around since the mid-1950's.

I don't remember the exact location either (one of our friends drove) but, yes, I remember it being in a "not so great" neighborhood. We had to pass through some dimly lit streets that housed factory buildings. Nonetheless, the restaurant area, itself, was pretty active and the atmosphere was fun and...oh yeah...the food was good. The portions were huge and I left nothing on my plate.
