I tried this. I sent them an Apart From The Crowd CD. Ten days later, they sent me a restraining order and a pretty stern cover letter from their lawyers.
We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I glanced at it briefly, it seems members mail CDS to each other, which is fine, but they also mention postage should be less than $1 and the graphic suggests that you "wrap" and mail the CD only.
I can see getting a lot of scratched CDs with no booklets, which might be OK if you are only interested in ripping music onto your ipod, but no thanks. And I could be wrong, but I can't imagine a great selection, ubt I can imagine there being plenty of people willing to send you their Candlebox CDs.
