Last night's "Orioles" game at Camden Yards. The place was completely infested with Sox fans, including my own family. I seemed to have the lone bird cap in the whole section...

We once visited the Steward Observatory Mirror Lab at the University of Arizona. We certainly visited on the right day, because Dean Ketelsen let us walk on one of the Large Binocular Telescope's (LBT) polished mirror glasses. This mirror has not yet been silvered. It's just the glass. They had specialized instrumentation trained on it from above that displayed the deviations from perfect curvature, in tolerances of single wavelengths! The girl you see on the glass here, Jennifer Polakis, laid down on her back on the glass for about 2 minutes. She got up, climbed back down the ladder, and when we looked at the computer display, we could see the outline of her body. It wasn't the latent heat signature we were seeing. It was actually a 100 Angstrom deformity in the glass from her body having lied there! Fantastic visit!

We fancied ourselves in a new genre known as "metal-tech". In the clubs, we were just a new wave/pop cover band. In the studio...GODS!!! Or so we thought.

Absolutely priceless pic there geex! Here's one I took recently at a local air museum. I seem to struggle with the white baIance quite a bit. I try to make up for my technical shortcomings with a compositional element. I tried to make this bird to look as if she was flying. Too bad the props give it away [8)]

For many designers and illustrators, the German visual satirist <a href="http://www.getty.edu/art/exhibitions/heartfield/">John Heartfield</a> (with scissors in hand above) is a hero. Born Helmut Herzfeld in 1891, he anglicized his name to protest German involvement in World War I and went on to invent the political photomontage. Brooklyn and Manhattan taken from my redeye flight just this morning. Spectacular day. Greenwood Cemetery and Prospect Park in perfect view. Lower Manhattan from the financial center up to the Empire State Building crystal clear. A few seconds after this, I could trace Flatbush Ave from the tip of Prospect Park right over the Manhattan or Brooklyn Bridges into the city.

Ever been to the Greenwood Cemetery? For those who don't know about it, it is actually a great place to go! LOL! They have tours every weekend and it is worth it.

My company (a large and successful travel corporation) got me onto a 4-day cruise to Key West, FL and Cozumel, Mexico...all expenses paid. It was a fabulous experience. My very first cruise. Can't wait to do it again. This photo was taken at sunset on the way back from Cozumel. Somewhere just west of Cuba.
