New Wave Tunes With the Longest Name

Postby glokstadt » Mon Sep 15, 2008 6:11 pm

Don't know if we did this before, but I was staring at the length of some of the songs I have and wanted to see who can post the longest...

Young Fresh Fellows - I Got My Mojo Working (And I Thought You'd Like To Know) (12 words)

The Citron Girls - How I Made A Million Dollars By Leading Two And A Half Lives For The F.B.I. (16 word)

Technically, the full name of this this little ditty is:

"Da Da Da I Don't Love You You Don't Love Me Aha Aha Aha" (14)

But this one has more letters:

The Freshies' "I'm In Love With The Girl On A Certain Manchester Megastore Checkout Desk" (13)

Another that might need a judges ruling:

The Ocean Blue's "I've Sung One Too Many Songs For a Crowd That Didn't Want to Hear" (14 + 2 contractions)

Smiths - Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before

Elvis - What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love & Understanding

..not the longest but certainly annoying enough to write on a cassette box!

Wow, Marv. That was very "Minty-like".

Just kidding.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears He's Elvis - Kirsty MacColl

Longest EP title?
The Men From Banana Island Whose Stupid Ideas Never Caught On In The Western World As We Know It (The Freshies)

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.
