Anyone read "Wild Boy: My Life in Duran Duran" by Andy Taylor? I finished it over the weekend, and have to say I thought it was pretty good. I thought he would be pretty disparaging about the other band members considering what has been printed in the past, but I would say was fairly decent and owned up to some of the mistakes he made while in the band.
Other thoughts from the serious Duran fans on the board?[?]

I'm a huge fan of the first 3 albums (especially the first 2). After they became an "arena" band a really lost interest. When there fan base changed to teeny boppers I felt the music suffered along with it.
What percentage of the bio takes place during the first three releases?

I'd say about 1/2 of the book is about the Rum Runner days and through seven and the ragged tiger (including some info on the Sri Lanka and Antigua videos) the rest is post-Duran Duran stuff (including the Power Station) up through his re-leaving the reformed DD before Red Carpet came out

I saw this at the bookstore over the weekend. I've got a big bus trip next week, maybe I will pick it up for the journey.

Just bought Wild Boy today. I only read till pg21.
Couldnt imagine Andys mum could be so heartless as to leave him, his bro & dad[:(] Must be devastating! Im more sympathetic towards Andy now..
