I co-host a punk/HC radio show every Monday night. I love punk as much as the new wave stuff, especially the really bad 70's Killed By Death type bands.

Great site Ollie.I too have a punk "cover" band out here in Phoenix. since I teach high school as my real job, it is very interesting to hear students think that punk started with Green Day and ends with Good Charlotte(yuck!!!)

Dead Kennedys, for sure. In high school, my friends would make me mixes with Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, early Bad Religion, Crass, Black Flag, etc. But heart will always go to Dead Kennedys.

oh yeah,
Anti-Nowhere League..I forgot about them! that was the first time I recorded a cassette from an album (1985). It was my senior year, I had just moved up from WA to a conservative city in Alaska, and had a cruddy (though proud!) blue mohawk. The
