Welcome to the new forum!
If you are a previously registered user, you must do the following:

1) Click on 'I forgot my password' at the login prompt
2) Enter your username and email you registered with and submit
3) You will receive an email with an activation link. Please click it and then log in using the random password provided
4) Go to your User Control Panel and click on the Profile tab
5) Click on 'Edit Account Settings' and enter your new password twice followed by the random password provided earlier. Click Submit.
6) That's it...you're back in! You may have to log in again with your new password.

Despite the dude being on WAY too much coffee, that really is a trip. I just wonder how much prep they put into it versus it automatically assembling the images. Also wondering how quickly the novelty effect will wear off. I'm further skeptical that the video is over a year and half old, and we haven't seen the Microsofties do jack shit with it yet.

Pretty amazing ... despite the "wow factor" of the merging of similar images together in a pseudo-3D mosaic-like fashion, I'm more impressed with the "duh factor" practicality of the unrestricted zoom and its potential applications for virtual books, magazines, newspapers, personal photo books, etc.

Can you imagine how that software could reconstruct concerts for us? I love the TED site. I spend hours there sometimes. Can you imagine a hybrid of Photosynth with this 3D texture mapping software?
