Blast from the past - "Personics" cassettes

Do you remember back in the 80s when Personics cassettes came out in record stores? not only could you pick the song you wanted, but put whatevevr label you wanted. Also I believe it took only about 10 minutes to make because of the high-speed dubbing process.
Personics was the first on-demand custom music service, and was started in 1986. Features of the Personics system included:

-listening posts to preview songs
-digital storage on hard drive
-$0.75 - $1.00 per song

I had several cassettes made at the Wherehouse record store in Lakewood, CA. (I think they were metal tapes too.)

I grew up in Downey and Long Beach, so I remember The Wherehouse record store in Lakewood very well, and I think it was a Big Ben's before convering.

I do remember the booth for the Personics, but never used it, as I made my own tapes from my records back then.
