I'm going to throw a brick through my TV if I hear it again.

I may need to burn my Fixx CDs.

I don't get it. Why would a song in a commercial cause such an upheaval for anyone? I've heard it, I dig The Fixx, but my life seemed pretty much the same afterwards.

I dunno...60 times a day on TV and the radio. I can't stand it anymore. I could care less that the Fixx did it, just Toyota's media buy is incessant. I might even trade in my Rav-4. [;)]

The bizzare arrangement does suck the life right out of the song. I think they tried a bit too hard to make a moody song sound snappy.

I agree, every time I walk into the living room it's on then it sticks in your head for days.

On another note, there's a shaving cream commercial for Barbasol that says it comes in many different "flavors"....flavors? I know it looks like whipped cream but, you can eat it too? Shouldn't it have been scents?

Look on the bright side. At least it's not a Toyah "Saved by Zero" commercial.

That's an interesting concept- Toyah actually taking aim at a GOOD song...

Nah... never happen!

The Saved by Zero doesn't bother me so much - it's the "I Like to Move it, Move it" one that another car company is using. I must hear it 15 times a day and it NEVER leaves my head. I wasn't a fan of the song when when it was new and now I cannot escape it all over again.

At least the band will get some good songwriting royalties (this has nothing to do with their record company, just the publishing company) which will keep them on the road and recording, etc.

Well, it might be time for the kids to get
braces or something! Or, do the band not
have the rights to say who can use their
song? Thank God i never watch tv!

No one said they couldn't sell it to Toyota. Just wish Toyota wouldn't have bought 600 tv/radio spots a day

Just a chime-in here...
I like Saved By Zero" by The Fixx but that TV commercial has got to go.
It's freakin' annoying!

Especially the end of it:
"....saved by zero.....saved by zero....."
