PSB Produce Passions Cover

Highly-acclaimed artist and film-maker Sam Taylor-Wood releases the single "I'm In Love With A German Film Star" on Kompakt Records on October 27th.

The single, a cover version of the post-punk classic by The Passions, was produced by Pet Shop Boys who also made a full length Symphonic mix. Other remixes available are by Gui Boratto, Juergen Paape and Mark Reeder.

All mixes are now available through iTunes. Other digital sites, including Beatport, will sell the tracks from November 10th. CD release is on October 27th and the single is also available on limited edition 7" (500 numbered copies) and also 12" vinyl.

Interesting, thanks for the info. Have you heard the version by Foo Fighters (of all bands)? It's actually pretty decent, though a little slow.

I got this cd single today and have to say it's one of the best PSB projects since the days of Cicero. This has a "Rent" kind of feel to it and the style has the PSB written all over it even though it's a Passions' song. You get the original radio edit, a very PSB sounding vocal extended version, a very PSB sounding instrumental extended version, a 80's version which sounds like a modern day 80's retro style version, and a dancier club version. Old PSB fans should run to the store for this one.
