Early 80s Band Name & Album

I'm trying to remember the artist name and album of a early 80's group. I recorded two tracks off of an old friend's LP onto cassette a long time ago, and I've since lost the paper sleeve on it.

I think one of the song's was simply entitled "You". The lyrics are "does she think, does she walk, does she talk, does she drink champagne, does she do the bossanova...I'm dazed, half-crazed" then it has the refrain "falling for you". I know, the lyrics sort of sound like the J. Geils Band's "Centerfold", but I know what that sounds like, and this song is **definitely** not "Centerfold".

They did another song on the same album called "Too Much (Angel)" and it went "The TV's always on, I keep the curtains drawn, the mail's piled up on the desk" then has the refrain "ain't got no time for that". Another part of the song states "There's an angel on my doorstep, and I do believe she's mine, she's ready, and she's waiting, she's out there all the time".

Maybe someone knows who this is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Got a possible ID: Rads "Scream Of The Real" (1983) with the songs "You" and "Too Much Too Soon". They are an Aussie band also known as The Radiators.

Sound familiar? I haven't found a sound clip of either to confirm it. Maybe someone else has a clip...

Yeah, I searched high and low for a clip... no luck. But from what I've read about the Aussie group's style and such, it's sounds about right. There seems to be alot of confusion with the name. There are at least 2 other groups with the name The Radiators - an Irish post-punk act and an American rock band.

the 1st one sounds like Boytronic, they had a song called "You" actually, but i never had heard it, sorry i'm not much help

It's definitely not Boytronic. I have the Boytronic song. It sounds nothing like it.

I'm still trying to track down a copy of The Radiators "You" to give it a listen.

Any links that anyone out there knows of besides this board that might be able to help me figure this out? So far I've tried musicsearch.com, the pure 80's pop UK music forum, and the bands and songs of the 80s message forum...no luck. Any "song detective" services available online or something like that?? This is driving me absolutely nuts [:(!]

Those sound like the Jetsons (Jetzons?), early 80's New Wave bar rock. I remember something about them touring with the Fixx way back in the 80's and the radio would play a couple of their songs so that people who were going to the FIxx could hear what they were in for. I think they were West Coast or maybe from the Southwest.

Now that this band has finally been identified, does anyone happen to have any mp3s of this band? While I'd love to get these two songs in particular ("You" and "Angel"), I'd be interested in any songs by them. [8)]

I found The Jetzons LP on GEMM, but it's way too pricy for me. [:I]
