If ever I want to introduce people to the greatness of the Chameleons, I go straight for 'In Shreds' - an immense piece of rhythm work and possibly one of the finest, most spine-tingling intros to any song I've heard.

underated perhaps but these guys dig deeper, they're
poets. i have my five bands listed on another topic
but i cannot ignore them. just listen to all of their
songs..quiet different..(two thumbs up!)

[/quote]I've been listening to the track 'Second Skin' on the Peel Sessions disc, and yeah, these guys [i]are[/i] poets.

I think the Peel Sessions disc is out of print-- does that mean I can post some of the tracks here? Also some of the 'Live in Toronto' tracks are great, and I don't think that's a recording that's in pressing.

In Shreds, Nathan's Phase, Up The Down Escalator, Second Skin, and Swamp Thing are all songs I know by them and they're all great. Very much like the cure but just as good. Maybe even a little better.
