Discovering things in the record bin

I found a new pastime. With buying a Technics 1200 turntable last week, I can now listen to vinyl without it being potentially ruined by my 14-year old stereo deck.

Of course, any vinyl finds I find have absolutely no info about them on the net. Anyone heard of these artists?

Intersting stuff so far. As soon as I get more dough I'm gonna hit Cheapo records again and just look for more 80s-esque albums based on their cover(and year range). Then try to get 'em ripped to MP3.

Yes it can be quite fun, and expensive! Some record shops "really think they have something" and try charging something outlandish for something that was very much mass produced. I find more of secon hand stores that charge like 5 to ten cents compared to

I go to Cheapo records, and never paid more than $3.30 for a rekkid. IT's a much better place than "Landfill" who I think has every remaining copy of Frampton Comes Alive.

Hey! I found YMO's Naughty Boys at lunch today for 99 cents in near-MINT condition! It even had the promotional paper band around it. Who the hell would take care of something so well just to dump it at a podunk Connecticut record store?? Can anybody read

Interesting mention of the band Instructions. I am at this very moment burning my LP to CD-R. I always liked this band from 1982, and as good as side 1 of the LP is, side 2 is even better, particulary track 2. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone.
