Bye Bye CD Stores

The Virgin Megastore by my house just closed down. There are no real cd stores by my house anymore. All of the Tower Records stores in Southern CA closed down over a year ago. This is so depressing. Yes, I can get my music from the net but there's just something special about going to a cd store and bringing a cd home with you.

I totally agree with you and love to buy CDs and albums I really like. But what happens when you live in the country where you cannot buy or find music you like in the shops. Then, you can only dld it from the internet.

I own over 600 cds, but I have not bought a cd from a store in a while, I prefer mp3's now, but I see them at Target and Walmart (I rarely shop there, about once every few years for greeting cards).

Virgin in Times Square is closing in April, and I heard that the Union Square store is going to be reduced to just 1 floor (although I'm sure it will close eventually as well).
