Here's another joke you can use for any team:

A Steelers fan liked to amuse himself by scaring every Ravens fan he saw strutting down the street in an obnoxious Purple shirt. He would swerve his van as if to hit them then swerve back just missing them.

One day while driving along, he saw a priest. He thought he would do a good deed, so he pulled over and asked the priest, 'Where are you going, Father?'

'I'm going to give Mass at St. Francis church, about two miles down the road,' replied the priest. 'Climb in, Father. I'll give you a lift!' The priest climbed into the passenger seat, and they continued down the road.

Suddenly, the driver saw a Ravens fan walking down the road, and he instinctively swerved as if to hit him. But, as usual, he swerved back onto the road just in time.

Even though he was certain that he had missed the guy, he still heard a loud THUD. Not knowing where the noise came from, he glanced in his mirrors but still didn't see anything.

He then remembered the priest, and he turned to the priest and said, sorry Father , I almost hit that Ravens fan.'

'That's OK,' replied the priest 'I got him with the door.'

First, let me say that my team is playing golf this Sunday.
Second, that joke is pretty funny. I am still laughing while I type this!

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Yeah I thought that was a good one too, club80. I am jealous of the wit of people who come up with good jokes.

I doubt that any of these are original. They've probably been around for years and were probably written at different times for different teams, but here are the rest of the ones sent to me by my sister-in-law:

#1
A Baltimore family of football supporters head out one Saturday to do
their Christmas Shopping. While in the sports store, the son picks up a Pittsburgh Steeler jersey and says to his older sister, "I've decided to become a Steeler fan and I would like this for Christmas."
His big sister is outraged by this and promptly whacks him round the
head and says, "Go talk with mom."

Off goes the little lad with the Pittsburgh Steeler jersey in hand and finds his mother. "Mom?" "Yes, son?" "I've decided I'm going to be a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and I would like this jersey for Christmas." The mother is outraged, promptly whacks him around the head and says, "Go see your father."

Off he goes with the Pittsburgh Steeler jersey in hand and finds his
father. "Dad?" "Yes, son?" "I've decided I'm going to be a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and I would like this jersey for Christmas". The father is so outraged he, too, whacks his son around the head and says, " No son of mine is ever going to be seen in THAT!"

About half hour later they're all back in the car heading towards home. The father turns to the son and says, "Son, I hope you've learned something today." The son says, "Yes, Dad, I have." "Good, son. What did you learn?"

The son replies, " I've only been a Pittsburgh Steeler fan for an hour and I already hate you Baltimore bastards."

#2
John Madden was in Baltimore covering a football game one Sunday. He was walking along the Ravens' sideline when he noticed Jim Harbaugh standing next to an unusual phone. Madden asked Harbaugh about the phone, to which Harbaugh replied, 'That's a hotline to God, and for $50 you can use it.' Madden dug out $50 from his pocket and used the phone. The following week, Madden was covering a game in Pittsburgh. As he walked along the Steelers' sideline, he saw a similar phone next to Mike Tomlin. Madden asked if the phone was a hotline to God, and Mike replied, 'Yes, and a call will cost you 50 cents.' Madden then asked Mike why this phone cost so much less than the phone in Baltimore. Mike Tomlin replied, 'It's a local call.'

#3
On the first day of school a first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Ravens fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Ravens fans. Wanting to impress their teacher, everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.

The teacher looks at the girl with surprise, 'Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?' Because I'm not a Ravens fan,' she replied. The teacher, still shocked, asked, 'Well, if you are not a Ravens fan, then who are you a fan of?'

'I am a Steelers fan, and proud of it,' Janie replied.

The teacher could not believe her ears. 'Janie please tell us why you are a Steelers fan?' Because my mom is a Steelers fan, and my dad is Steelers fan, so I'm a Steelers fan too!''

Well,' said the teacher in a obviously annoyed tone, 'that is no reason for you to be a Steelers fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mom was an idiot and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?'

Then,' Janie smiled, 'I'd be a Ravens fan.'

#4
A Cardinals fan, an Eagles fan, a Ravens fan, and a Steelers fan are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more.

The Cardinals fan insists he is the most loyal. 'This is for the Cardinals! ' he yells, and jumps off the side of the mountain.

Not to be outdone, the Eagles fan shouts, 'This is for the Eagles!' and throws himself off the mountain.

The Steelers fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells, 'This is for everyone!' and pushes the Ravens fan off the mountain.

That's cool, Jefe, I get that they're jokes. It's just that they're implying that the Ravens have a long criminal record while the only thing I remember was the Ray Lewis fiasco(*cough* acquitted *cough*). [insert your favorite "yeah but OJ Simpson was acquitted too" joke here] Besides, it's common knowledge that football players from ALL teams are bad citizens. Kinda sad, really.

I had a Steelers fan friend who owned a dog and went to take him to a bar, but the bar wouldn't let him in - "we don't allow dogs here."

My friend said, "oh but you have to! My dog's a huge Steelers fan and he really wants to watch the game."

"We don't allow dogs, sir!"

"Really - he'll just sit at the bar and quietly watch the game, we won't make any trouble for anyone."

After five minutes of arguing, the bartender let him in. The game started, and the Steelers got the kickoff. They kicked a field goal on their first possession. After the kick went through, the dog jumped up on the bar, did a victory dance, and ran up and down the bar giving high fives to all the other fans there.

The bartender was watching the commotion and said to the guy, "Wow, he really IS a big fan! If he does all that for a field goal, what does he do for a touchdown???"

The guy said, "How would I know? I've only owned him three years."

[Yeah, yeah, I know. I actually heard the joke from a Lions fan about his own team. But, felt the need to contribute.]

I actually expect us to lose tomorrow, but then I expected the Cards to get demolished by Carolina, so ... good luck and enjoy the game!

Nice joke! I'll definitely save that one for future use. And yeah, I would bet that most NFL players are probably not model citizens.

About Ray Lewis. I don't think he was ever charged with anything, only questioned in regards to a murder. The guy is a rock. That hit last week or the week before where he knocked the other player's helmet off. I don't even think he was trying to hit him. It looked to me as though he was running toward the sidelines and had nowhere else to go but through that opposing player which appeared right in front of him at the last second.

As far as the game, I don't know what to expect. I saw a stat that showed Baltimore with a record of 5-1 on the road in the playoffs. Add to that the fact that it's pretty difficult to beat any team (except the 2009 Lions) 3 times in the same season and it's anyone's game.

Ray Lewis has absolutely done the right thing ever since his brush with the law (he was only eventually charged with "obstruction of justice") - he just shut up and played football. Why can't guys like Plaxico figure that out???

The Ravens are definitely road warriors, but this is the Steelers in the playoffs. If we win I'll be pleasantly surprised. No matter what, this has been a great ride. I had my boys pegged as a 4-win team at the start of the year, and that was being optimistic (who the hell is Joe Flacco???). I don't see a Ravens blowout or even a come-from-behind victory - if we win it'll be because we jumped out to a lead and held on. Problem is, I could see the Stillers jumping out 21-0 and putting it in cruise control, especially without Rolle and Suggs.

Funny you say you only expected 4 wins this year, 'cause after learning the Steelers had the hardest schedule in decades I was only expecting 6 or 7 wins. And look where both teams are now.

As far as Plaxico goes, it doesn't surprise me in the least. He started his career in Pittsburgh. First completion was a pass over the middle good for about 15 yards or so. He leaps toward the ball, catches it, and falls to the ground. Then the genius gets up having never been touched by an opposing player, drops the ball, and starts making his way back to the huddle. The opposing player picks up the ball and returns it for a great gain & change in possession.

Well I've got to go rest up, it's game day. I wish you good luck but have to say I certainly hope the Steelers win. If they do win the game, the Super Bowl is in driving distance for me.[8D]

I'd wish you luck too, Jefe, but you guys obviously don't need it. Toothlessberger is a freaking witch. That TD pass he just threw was the single most ridiculous play I've ever seen, and that includes last year's Helmet Catch in the Super Bowl. I thought he was just throwing it away after avoiding the sack and it goes for his longest play of the year? Sheesh. Congrats in advance on making it to Tampa.

As for the Cardinals ... wow. They've really made a statement this postseason. Good for them. The Stillers will be a challenge but if anyone can rise up to it, it's Warner.

Wow - I was always wrong, but that STUPID personal foul on Stone toward the end of the game iced it for Pittsburgh. Huge momentum shift - rather than being on the 40 and only 30 yards away from a game-winning FG, you're on the 15 and 55 yards away from the game-winner. God I hate stupid penalties. I hope Stone gets seriously fined by his team.

Well the early line is Stillers by 7. I'd say they should rumble but then AZ won despite being the dog three times in a row, so ...

It should be a good Super Bowl. No surprise that The Steelers are the favorites but hey...The Cardinals survived from among the four birds that were alive just a few days ago (Ravens, Eagles and the geese that collided with that U.S. Air flight)

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Was it just me or was the ravens Steelers game just short of rollerball? Holy crap, I have never, ever seen such a brutal, more physical football game.

I have just changed my mind as well, this has gone from the Worst NFL season ever to the BEST NFL season ever!!! GO CARDS!!!!!
