Cox and Stelle had their blow out with Dave and Roger years ago, and will never, ever perform with the beat again... [:(]

Sometimes Rankin' Roger is on board along with Everett on drums, Saxa died, and well that just leave Dave with a bunch of real good musicians as his back-up guys... just in case no one has seen the band in a few years, they still skank and rock a good show! [:p]

Indeed they do my friend! Such a shame they couldn't put past problems aside, and "reunite" for that 'Bands Reunited" show a few years back, would've been great to have all of the members on board for that. Shame too about Saxa dying.

Looking forward to hanging w you and Rotator in March, Don't forget my cd's!!![:D]

I saw Dave Wakeling's English Beat last year. They played with the Fixx and the Alarm. Wakeling puts on an energetic show (dude keeps Red Bull just in front of the drums).

I've seen the Dave Wakeling touring band a couple of time and they were rather good. Dave had said that next time Roger may join him, hopefully that is the case.

Did anyone catch them a couple of tours ago when he had special guests from the Specials (and the Selector?)? Just curious how those shows stacked up to his usual high energy party.
